BH-BL parents' pre-kindergarten
information meeting is March 5
Kindergarten registration to be
March 12 and 13
BURNT HILLS: On February 23,
information packets were mailed to all Burnt
Hills-Ballston Lake parents with children currently
known to be eligible to enter kindergarten in
September 2012.
Children must be residents of the
school district and must be five years old on or
before December 1, 2012 to start kindergarten in
September.
New residents and families whose
kindergarten-age child is not already in the
district census are asked to call Mary Ann Meade as
soon as possible at 399-9141, ext. 3500, so that
your child can participate and be added to district
records.
A pre-K parents orientation session
will be held at 7:00 pm on March 5 at the
Pashley Elementary school on Pashley Road,
Glenville. The meeting will describe the
kindergarten program, including a video, information
about busing and health concerns, and a chance for
parents to get answers to their questions.
Actual registration for all three
BH-BL elementary schools will take place at Stevens
Elementary on Lakehill Road on March 12 and 13.
Registration is done by appointment
to minimize waiting. It includes a review of
immunization records, a brief vision screening, and
a chance to sign up for K-Care, if desired. At the
end, parent and child also get to take a brief ride
on a big yellow school bus.
