feature football, barbecue & fun, Sept. 29
Game kickoff is 1:30 pm Saturday,
1955 football team to be honored

BURNT HILLS:
The public is invited to celebrate
Homecoming at the BH-BL High School on Saturday,
September 29, on the athletic fields behind the
school at 88 Lakehill Road.
Kickoff for the varsity football game
versus Gloversville is at 1:30 pm (not 2:00 as was
indicated in the printed district calendar).
Admission to the game is $2 for
students and $3 for adults. District residents with a
BH-BL Senior Citizens Pass will be admitted free.
Free parking is available both in front
of and behind the high school.
"Senior Day" will start at 12:30 pm,
which includes the introduction of 40-some senior
football players and cheerleaders and their parents.
Another special highlight will be a
half-time ceremony to honor members of the 1955 football
team and coach Murry O'Neil.
Activities before and during the game
include concession stands and displays by many school
groups and clubs.
Proceeds to support student
activities
In addition to many kinds of food
items, high school student clubs will be selling Spartan
gear and other merchandise
to raise money for their projects.
The Student
Government Organization (SGO) is sponsoring a Giffy's
chicken barbecue. Tickets for a complete dinner are $10, and
should be pre-ordered from any SGO member. A few dinners
may also be available first come-first served at the
game.
Dinners can be
picked up at the end of the game between 3:00 and 4:30 pm.
SGO is also hosting an activity
center during the game including facepainting, a
bouncy-bounce, and other activities.
