The SGO was one of many student groups with booths to sell food and Spartan merchandise at the 2011 Homecoming game.

Watching the Spartans on a beautiful fall afternoon is always a treat.

A typical all-American moment during the 2011 game, complete with student-made posters, cheerleaders ,and athletes.

The cheerleaders show their stuff during the 2011 half-time.

BURNT HILLS:

The public is invited to celebrate Homecoming at the BH-BL High School on Saturday, September 29, on the athletic fields behind the school at 88 Lakehill Road.

Kickoff for the varsity football game versus Gloversville is at 1:30 pm (not 2:00 as was indicated in the printed district calendar).

Admission to the game is $2 for students and $3 for adults. District residents with a BH-BL Senior Citizens Pass will be admitted free.

Free parking is available both in front of and behind the high school.

"Senior Day" will start at 12:30 pm, which includes the introduction of 40-some senior football players and cheerleaders and their parents.

Another special highlight will be a half-time ceremony to honor members of the 1955 football team and coach Murry O'Neil.

Activities before and during the game include concession stands and displays by many school groups and clubs.

Proceeds to support student activities

In addition to many kinds of food items, high school student clubs will be selling Spartan gear and other merchandise to raise money for their projects.

The Student Government Organization (SGO) is sponsoring a Giffy's chicken barbecue. Tickets for a complete dinner are $10, and should be pre-ordered from any SGO member. A few dinners may also be available first come-first served at the game.

Dinners can be picked up at the end of the game between 3:00 and 4:30 pm.

SGO is also hosting an activity center during the game including facepainting, a bouncy-bounce, and other activities.

Please join us! Homecoming is always a wonderful day to celebrate your "Spartan Spirit" and support our kids!
