1.Official
Business was suspended due to the fact that a quorum
of members was not in attendance. However,
discussions took place regarding the following
topics:
a.Class Night/Awards Ceremony:
The history of the Class Night and the Awards
Ceremony was reviewed. In light of space issues,
time constraints, transportation costs, and a
variety of other influential aspects of delivering
these programs, the Council sub committee will
review options for potential reorganization of the
events. Nancy Pearse will discuss the programs with
the 8th grade team to get their feedback and Penny
McDonnell will address the concerns with the PTA sub
committee. Reports will be given at the next Council
meeting to be held on December 17, 2007.
b.Health and Safety:Several
health and safety matters were reviewed including
the evacuation drill, district initiatives, traffic
flow, and air quality concerns.
