National Junior Honor Society
The Service Requirement
Candidates are required to complete 30 hours of service to the
school or community after June 1.

Candidates may volunteer in more than one activity to
fulfill this requirement.

Candidates must spend at least one hour on an activity.

Candidates cannot be paid for their volunteering.
Sample Activities:

Helping a teacher
-
Volunteering in the school or public library
-
Volunteering in elementary reading and math summer program'

Volunteering at CHS
-
Helping with the Town in Bloom gardening program
-
Volunteering in a nursing home
-
Volunteering at Vacation Bible School

Helping at a soup kitchen
Once inducted into the National Junior Honor Society, members
are required to perform 2 hours of service each semester; at least one of these
hours must be volunteered in an Honor Society activity.
