at O'Rourke Middle School are outstanding
and daily exhibit excellence in the areas of academics,
arts, sports and community. It is our privilege to put

Personal
Development Extraordinaires
All students receive a Personal
Development grade on their report card.
The 1-4 grade (4-Exceptional, 3-Proficieint, 2-Inconsistent,
and 1-Minimal) is determined based on personal development
criteria, such as: engages in class activities,
demonstrates good work habits, demonstrates best effort,
attends class on time and is prepared, exhibits positive
behavior and attitude, strives to improve and works well
with others. The
Extraordinaires have achieved a
Personal Development grade of 3.65 or
above.

Student of the Month
Each month
students are recognized who demonstrate a
positive attitude towards learning and
respect towards others. Students who
demonstrate consistent effort, appropriate
conduct, responsible behavior, a cooperative
attitude and respect for others are
recognized. Honorees get to enjoy a
pizza party at pizza hut, have their name
and picture posted on the bulletin board
outside the main office and receive a letter
of congratulations and a certificate of
recognition from Principal Don Germain.

There are hundreds of acts of kindness and
thoughtfulness that happen every day at
O'Rourke and although we don't know about
them all, we like to recognize our students
who get "caught" in the act of helping out,
expressing support, being a good sport,
sharing and countless other demonstrations
of good character.
Congratulations to these wonderful students who got
"caught" in the act!!!
Quarter
Awards Each quarter,
a group of students are randomly
selected from those who have achieved perfect
attendance for the quarter or who have zero demerits
at the end of the quarter. For the first
quarter we are honoring the following randomly
