Congratulations to Thomas Raimo who is now among the 100 semifinalists chosen to be in the Invention Convention 2014 student invention program. Raimo's invention is the SecretKEYper.
The next phase in the competition is to choose 25 regional winners out of the 100 semifinalists. Each of the top 100 students must now construct a model in order to be considered for the top 25. It is not necessary that the model be a working model, but it should illustrate the concept of the invention and how it would work.
Models will be displayed at Museum of Innovation and Science, 15 Nott Terrace Heights, Schenectady, from May 2 to May 20, 2014.
A reception honoring the 100 semifinalists will be held at the Museum of Innovation and Science on Tuesday, May 20 from 4 to 6 p.m. at which time all of the models may be viewed. The reception will be followed by an awards ceremony at 5 p.m., when the 25 regional winners will be announced.
Good luck Thomas!
