Congratulations to BH-BL Science Research Program students Alexis Scott and Gwenda Law for taking first and second place, respectively, in the recent Eastern Junior Science and Humanities Sub-regional Symposium. Their success advanced them to the state competition being held in Albany on March 12 and 13.
Senior Alexis Scott took first place in the General Biology 1 session for her work tracking the flight of Monarch butterflies. Gwenda Law, a junior, took second in the Biomedical Sciences session for her work on devising a technique to test the effectiveness of lab-engineered antimicrobial peptides.
Congratulations and good luck at the state competition.
