BH-BL and Siena College Sign Early Assurance MBA Agreement
A unique Early Assurance Program agreement was signed today between BH-BL and Siena College to secure admission of our qualified students to Siena to earn a B.S. and MBA – in four years.
Effective immediately, eligible BH-BL students can apply for admission to Siena’s School of Business as early as the tenth grade to secure a seat for the customizable bachelor of science in business degree program, then a master of business administration, all within four years.
There will also be an accelerated track for students to earn both degrees in three years.
Eligible students may apply for the program during their sophomore or junior year at BH-BL based on their past and projected academic performance. Students will need to submit an application, essay and transcript, and must be on track to complete a required number of academic units in English, social studies, mathematics, laboratory science, and language. Students must also complete at least one college-level course through the Business Department at BH-BL.
The agreement was signed by BH-BL Superintendent of Schools Patrick M. McGrath, Ph.D. and President of Siena College Br. F. Edward Coughlin. Also present was Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Maryellen Symer and High School Principal Tim Brunson.
Siena was also represented by Charles F. Seifert, Ph.D., dean of Siena’s School of Business, and by Ned Jones, vice president for enrollment management. The signing took place in the library at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School.
Siena and BH-BL will also work together to present a series of workshops at the district’s middle school and high school for all students, regardless of their college choices. Topics will include but are not limited to the college application process, making the most of campus visits and more.
Students who are accepted to the early assurance business program will not be required to enroll or to forgo application to other schools; rather they will be able to secure their admission and reserve a place at Siena.
