BH-BL earns national music honors for fourth straight year
The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) Foundation has named Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake one of the “Best Communities for Music Education” in the nation for the fourth year in a row.
BH-BL was one of 476 out of over 14,000 school communities in the United States to be awarded this honor.
The NAMM Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes opportunities for people of all ages to participate in making live music, makes the designation in cooperation with The Music Research Institute at the University of Kansas.
“BH-BL earned the ‘Best Community’ distinction thanks to the outstanding opportunities for students in our district to learn and perform music; the quality of our music faculty; the support of our school administration, Board of Education and community; and our budgetary commitment to music education,” explains BH-BL Director of Fine Arts Peter Giroux.
