Message from Athletic Director Joe Scalise
A few weeks ago I sent a letter out regarding student drop off/pick up. Unfortunately, this situation has not improved. We still have many parents lining up in front of the gym entrance which is preventing buses from safely dropping off athletic teams after away games. It also makes it challenging for other parents when their child is ready to be picked up but they are unable to pull up to the curb to pick up their child.
In order to alleviate the congestion of buses in the back parking lot, all student athletes will now be dropped off at the front entrance of the high school ( in the bus loop) after away games. Athletes will enter the school through the front doors walk to the locker rooms (if necessary) to get their belongings, and then exit out the back doors by the gym. If you want to pick up your child in front of the school you must be PARKED in a parking space in the front parking lot. At no time will you be allowed to idle in the bus loop waiting for your child to exit the building. Please park in one of the many parking spots and communicate with your child where you are parked and waiting for him or her.
We expect these changes should result in less traffic and congestion in the back parking lot thus allowing for a more organized traffic pattern.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
