Mechaspartans host robotics kickoff, gear up for new challenge

The Mechaspartans are gearing up for another fun and challenging year in the high school robotics world. The BH-BL’s High School Robotics Team recently joined up with the Robovines, a 4-H team from Ballston Spa, to host the FTC Kickoff for the Capital Region and prepare for this year’s challenge–the Rover Ruckus presented by Qualcomm.

Seven robotics team from around the region (BH-BL Mechaspartans, Ballston Spa Robovines, Ballston Spa Hazmatrix, Niskayuna Robowarriors, Albany Academy Botman, Augustine Classical Academy and SMIST (Schoharie) System Override) all contributed to the success of the event by bringing their expertise, ideas, and enthusiasm.

The event was focused around robotic team members gaining even more technical knowledge, learning about the new competition game, examining the new field set up, and brainstorming how best to approach this year’s challenge. These teams will continue to meet once month for informal scrimmages and group build days in order to help each other prepare for this year’s Rover Ruckus competition. #GreatDay2BeASpartan
