2022 Scholarship Information
Matthew Turner Scholarship
Applications for the Matthew Turner Memorial Scholarship were distributed by Mr. Brunson on Saturday, March 12. Completed applications should be returned to Mr. Brunson by Thursday, April 12.
Maxwell Machado Memorial Scholarship
The Maxwell Machado Memorial Scholarship was created this year to honor the passing of BH-BL Alumni Max Machado (Class of 2007). The recipient of this scholarship will be selected by HS counselors and administration. Qualifications include: successful completion of a VOTEC program with plans to either continue their education or pursue a career in their field of study; involvement in HS athletics or or extracurricular activities. Additionally, the recipient of this scholarship should be well-liked by their peers and faculty & staff and should have overcome some type of challenge during their HS career. Students can contact their counselor or Mr. Brunson for additional information.
Joseph Czub Memorial Scholarship
The Joseph “Joe” Czub Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for the first time this year to a deserving student who exemplifies the qualities of our former Transportation Department Director. The recipient of this scholarship should exemplify hard work, integrity, a love for life, and loyalty to BH-BL. Preference will be given to a student who has completed a VOTEC program in auto technology, auto body repair, small engine repair or a similarly related field. The initial recipient of this award will be selected by Guidance Counselors and HS Administration. Students can contact their counselor or Mr. Brunson for additional information on this scholarship.
Anyone interested in contributing to any of these scholarships listed above can send their contribution to BH-BL High School (attn: Tim Brunson), 88 Lakehill Road, Burnt Hills, NY 12027. Checks can be made out to “BH-BL High School” with the specific scholarship listed in the memo line.
Each of these scholarships will be awarded during the High School Honors Night Program, scheduled for Thursday, June 16 at 7 p.m.
