The district’s Reopening School Plan has been submitted to the state for review. We are now asking parents to let the district know which instructional model they will select for their children for the beginning of school in September. The options are Fully Virtual School model (grades K-12) or the In-person (grades K-5)/Hybrid (grades 6-12) model.
Parents should please submit their selection by Monday, Aug. 10 through the Reopening School Registration e-form that was emailed to all parents on Aug. 3. [Reopening Schools Registration Form]
We know that this most unusual situation we are living in weighs heavily on parents’ minds as they are being asked to decide how to send their children to school in the fall. To help guide you in this decision, we’ve taken community-submitted questions and created the “Reopening School Choice Guide for Parents.” Please take a moment to review these questions and responses as they may provide some clarity and guidance in helping you make your decision. If, after reading the guide, parents have specific questions they are encouraged to reach out to their child’s school principal either through email or phone.
It’s important to keep in mind that the Reopening Plan will continue to be developed/modified on a regular basis as new information becomes available and state decisions are made.
