BH-BL offers instrumental music lessons on the following instruments:
Violin, Flute/Piccolo, Tenor Saxophone, Viola, Clarinet, Baritone Sax, Cello, Oboe, French Horn, String Bass, Bassoon, Trumpet, Alto Saxophone, Trombone, Baritone Horn and Tuba.
Students should rent their instrument from an approved instrumental rental company. With the exception of French Horn, String Bass, and Baritone. These three instruments should NOT be rented from a company, rather they will be rented from the district at an annual fee of $60, billed and paid for in the fall of each year.
The district has a limited supply of all of the above instruments to loan out to students in financial need. Those students who qualify for reduced lunch may rent an instrument from the district for $30 annually. Students who qualify for free lunch may receive a loaned instrument with no annual fee.
Contracts will go out annually in the fall for any district loaned instrument. No refunds or partial refunds will be issued for those who drop the program. Students who no longer take lessons with our district are expected to return loaned instruments promptly.
