Sign up by Oct. 29 to participate!
What makes your family special? Maybe it’s a cherished tradition, a favorite recipe, or a story from a country you call home. Whatever it is, now is the perfect time to share it! BH-BL is hosting its first-ever Community World’s Fair on Wednesday, Nov. 19 from 6 to 7:30 pm in the high school cafeteria.
The event is aimed at celebrating the amazing diversity within our own community. Students in grade K-5 and their families are invited to create a project that highlights their unique heritage. Sign up by Oct. 29 to participate. [Download & fill in the sign up form]
Families can team up with friends or family to design a display that features their culture, family history, or a country of origin. Projects can be a visual display with photos and art, a hands-on activity, a food tasting, or anything else you can imagine! T
he World’s Fair is a non-competitive night of curiosity and fun, open to the entire BHBL community. See the attached flyer for more details.
How to participate
- Students and families in grades K-5 may participate in the fair by creating or selecting a project or presentation to showcase their family’s traditions, culture or country of origin. Choose a topic to create a presentation or display. It can be about your family’s culture, a tradition you want to share or a country where your family originates. Projects can feature food tastings, activities, crafts, or clothing. Displays can also include history, photographs, art or books that best help represent and educate!
- Sign up by completing the form, and returning it to school no later than October 29, 2025. Any student attending the event must be accompanied by an adult the entire time of attendance and presentation. Thank you in advance for your support. [Download & fill in the sign up form]
- Bring your completed project on Nov. 19, 2025 to the high school for set up between 5:30 and 6 pm. Projects and presentations need to be self standing, and will be placed on cafeteria tables for display. Average space for your display will be 2-3 ft. Please note if you will need more space for an activity, such as a dance.
Please note: People and students of all ages will be welcomed and attending. We encourage our presenters to be ready to discuss their display and answer questions.
