Parents and community members can receive e-mail, texts and phone calls through ParentSquare
BH-BL uses a communications system known as ParentSquare to provide parents and community members with important announcements and timely alerts. (This service replaces the SchoolMessenger software.) There are posts made for district-level news and announcements, which includes school closings/snow days or delays as well as Headlines & Happenings. Users will also be able to see school posts based on what school their child attends.
Parents of Current Students are Automatically Signed Up
Parents who currently have children attending BH-BL schools do not need to go through the sign-up process outlined below. They are already connected to the system through our student management system but they can manage notifications. If you have questions or are not sure if you are receiving the correct notifications, please e-mail District Communications Specialist Tara Mitchell at tmitchell@bhbl.org.
Information for Self Sign-up
We encourage community members to sign-up to receive messages from the district! If you do not currently have children in BH-BL, you will need to go through the registration process below. As of August 2025, any community member who was already signed up in the prior software (SchoolMessenger) was automatically added to ParentSquare
ParentSquare Sign-up Process
- Using the ParentSquare website, Users can generate an account activation email/ text to register their account.
- Visit https://www.parentsquare.com/signin Under Register, enter Email or Cell Phone Number. You must use the same email/phone you provided to your school.
- Click Get Started.
- If the email/phone matches the information in ParentSquare, user receives an account activation email/text to register.
