Two seats on the BH-BL Board of Education will expire this year. Are you interested in running?
Qualified residents who are interested in running for a seat on the board should contact Board Clerk Tara Mitchell at tmitchell@bhbl.org or stop by the District Office/Hostetter Center, 88 Lakehill Road, to pick up a 2026-27 Board Candidacy packet.
Along with informational items and candidate information needed for the budget newsletter, the Board Candidacy packet includes a petition for the nomination of a candidate for the position of a member of the BH-BL Board of Education. Candidates must obtain 29 valid signatures from qualified voters.
Per state school law, the petition is due to Tara Mitchell no later than 5 pm on Monday, April 20. However, to have candidate information, such as a brief bio, position statement, and photograph included in the budget newsletter, candidates are encouraged to submit that particular information earlier than the deadline above.
