Five BH-BL High School computer programming teams recently competed in the Siena Programming Contest, and all five were extremely competitive. In fact, the “green team” held a commanding first-place lead for most of the night, explained Computer Science teacher Robin Clapper.
While the final minutes were a nail-biter and a few late-breaking solutions bumped the “green team” from the overall podium, the students still earned a well-deserved Honorable Mention and a trophy for the school size category. Congratulations to the green team of Mikayla Botta, Natalie Manon, Gabriel Matthews, and Brayden Walton for their outstanding work.
“Our students represented the school with incredible skill, sportsmanship, and phenomenal work ethic,” adds Clapper. “I am incredibly proud of every student who participated. They collaborated and problem-solved right until the very last second, showing exactly what it means to be a Spartan.”
