2025-26 Goals

  1. Superintendent Search & Succession Planning: Execute a comprehensive and transparent search process for a new Superintendent of Schools to ensure a successful leadership transition by July 1, 2026. This includes:
    1. Partnering with a search consultant to develop a candidate profile based on stakeholder input.
    2. Establishing a clear timeline for recruitment, interviews, and final selection.
    3. Ensuring a smooth transition period that maintains district stability and continuity of vision.
    4. Capital Project Stewardship & Fiscal Oversight: Provide rigorous oversight of the 2023 Capital Project, focusing on the alignment of construction milestones with financial projections. The board will:
  2. Monitor construction progress and phasing schedule as the various phases develop and are implemented.
    1. Review quarterly financial reports to ensure the project remains within the authorized budget.
    2. Ensure the administration mitigates potential disruptions to the learning environment during active construction phases.
  3. Enhanced District Visibility & Collaborative Engagement: Strengthen the Board’s connection to the school community through proactive outreach and formalized communication. This will be achieved by:
    1. Maintaining a consistent presence at building-level events and Building Council meetings.
    2. Deepening the collaborative partnership with PTA Presidents and collective bargaining units through scheduled dialogue.
    3. Ensuring transparency by providing regular public updates on Board committee work and district-wide initiatives via the Reports and Communication portion of board meetings as well as electronic and print communication tools.
