At its April 22 meeting, the Board of Education adopted the 2026-27 Budget proposal that carries a 2.21% average weighted tax rate increase. BH-BL residents will go to the polls on Tuesday, May 19 to vote on the proposed budget. Polls are open from 7 am to 9 pm in the high school gym, 88 Lakehill Rd.
Also on the ballot is the election of three candidates to the board. They are incumbents Lakshmi Nagarajan and Jim Ireland as well as newcomer John Shillito.
A detailed budget newsletter will be mailed to residents in early May.
