Due to the extreme weather forecast, the National Weather Service has issued a heat warning July 1 and 2, for the counties making up the BH-BL School District. With temperatures reaching a “real feel” of 100+ degrees, the district’s outdoor facilities (i.e., playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts, etc.) will be closed to the public from 10 am on Wednesday, July 1 through Thursday, July 2. The buildings are also closed Friday, July 3 for the holiday.
Summer Rec at Stevens Elementary School will remain open and on schedule, but will take place inside air-conditioned rooms.
Anyone participating in youth sports activities/camps at BH-BL between July 1 and 2, will hear directly from the coaching staff regarding their planned activities.
