Stevens Students Participate in Filling Bowls Project

Stevens Elementary School 4th & 5th grade students recently demonstrated their ability to blend kindness and creativity into one through the Filling Bowls Project. The students worked with art teacher Karen Taylor to sculpt and paint ‘pinch pots,’ which are small bowls used across many cultures from ancient times to today. The students also collected favorite soup recipes from teachers and staff and used them to create a recipe book.

“The pots serve as a reminder to fill the bowls of others, and the soup recipes are to share a meal with those around them,” explains Taylor. “The Filling Bowls Project was part art, part soup, and a whole lot of heart!”

Nice job, Stevens Superstars!
